Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead, will be responsible for writing components of technical documentation for engineering products; creating written content for software products related to signal processing systems; writing user-focused content that explains how to use tools to design, model, and simulate engineering systems; and developing examples and tutorials that show how to use software features that span multiple products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Technical Writer (or related occupation) performing technical writing, teaching, or development of communication system or signal processing simulation software.

 

Special Requirements:

  • Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink and performing model-based simulation to solve real-world problems in the signal processing, communication systems, artificial intelligence, and control systems domains.
  • Demonstrated expertise developing software platforms for signal processing or communication systems using MATLAB.
  • Demonstrated expertiseperforming engineering technical writing using graphics software and markup language -- XML or LaTeX. 
  • Demonstrated expertise teaching, training, or tutoring in MATLAB in a university-level environment or in a customer-facing role.
