Added a new Toolbox but Matlab says I don't have it

I paid for, and installed the Curve Fitting Toolbox. I confirmed that it is installed - the installer says it is all installed.

But in the Matlab UI, I get an error message when I try to use curve fitting functions. The error says - I need the Curve Fitting Toolbox!

I might first quit out of MATLAB. Then restart it. Check again.

Next, does MATLAB show a license for it? What does ver tell you?

Finally, did it not get onto your search path? Using pathtool, look. If not, then add the top level directory for that TB onto your search path. Then save the search path.

hmmm and just as i wrote that - the toolbox finally opened ...

thank you! i dont know how by it just started working by itself... I opened and reopened matlab several times, downloaded licence file, put it into the lisence folder, etc, etc... and then right after posting my question - i opened it and it launched the toolbox

its good now.

I am just trygin to figure out how to extract the fit coefficients and record them into my variables so i can analyze those coefficients...

Only Walter has the Crystal Ball Toolbox. The rest of us would need to see your code that calls the fitting function. I'm pretty sure your fit function, whatever it is, returns some fit parameters that you can save. For example if you use polyfit

coefficients = polyfit(x, y, 2);
save('coefficients.mat', 'coefficients');
