As a Tax Analyst at The MathWorks, you’ll play a vital role in the Finance and Operations team, gaining hands-on experience in tax compliance, research, and strategic projects. Verantwortlichkeiten
- Build your tax expertise by preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns, supporting workpapers, and quarterly estimated tax calculations, with a focus on tax compliance.
- Drive efficiency by developing and enhancing tools and procedures to streamline manual processes, leveraging technology to improve the way we work.
- Develop your understanding of our financial close process by assisting with the annual income tax provision calculation (ASC 740), including supporting documentation and related reporting.
- Engage in special projects that influence company decisions, such as those related to R&D tax credits, transfer pricing and business expansions.
- Monitor regulatory changes, staying up to date on tax legislative changes allowing the organization to assess impacts and take any necessary action in a timely manner.
- Respond to tax notices and audits, maintain our tax filing calendar, and work closely with experienced professionals who are invested in your growth.
Mindestqualifikationen
- A bachelor's degree is required.
- Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
- Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction.
Zusätzliche Qualifikationen
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance highly preferred
- CPA License is a plus
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with others will help you thrive in our dynamic environment
- Experience in Microsoft Suite, Power BI and Power Query preferred
