Stiction Simmechanics 2nd Generation

Can I model friction and stiction in a SimMechanics model that contains 2nd generation blocks. Is there a solution with 2nd generation blocks only or eventually combining 1st and 2nd generation SimMechanics blocks?

Stiction in Simscape Multibody second generation technology can be modeled using the Spatial Contact force block. Custom normal force and friction forces can also be modeled. See this repository for many examples, including one showing how to create custom forces:
