find the area based on contour?

hi there, it's me naura. im still new to matlab and im trying to explore this environment . iwant to ask -can i find the area based on contours? hope you can explain more to me.pss/. please assume that i knew nothing while you explain..hihihi.. let proceed . i want to find the area of pink coloured region correponds to this contour image. i attached image coloured denoised above . really hope that i can find the area through this way.. show me and lead me your ways to all senseiii..

you can use flood fill algorithm and then calculate the pixels with that corresponding value.
