I'm running Matlab R2019a on Mac Mojave 10.14.5. These are long jobs that take several hours. After some time (a couple hours or so) the computer resources given to the user dwindles down to nothing. Some of the posts I've seen with slowness issues say to disable MagNet. What is MagNet and how do I disable it?

Having run many long codes for hours, I've never seen anything like that happen. (R2019a, Mojave, etc.) The link that Star found is the only thing I've found myself. Here is another page:
But you had to have installed it yourself. So you would know if you have it. In fact, you must have bought it as an app, at a cost of a dollar.
A good test would be to kill the process (use the activity monitor.) Then see if it fixes the problem.

Hi,
Magnet is a window manager for Mac that keeps the workspace organized. If you have Magnet installed, you can choose to ignore the current application from menu bar icon of Magnet. Choose "Ignore MATLAB" to disable Magnet for MATLAB.

After doing some research. I found that this bug stems from a user's usage of window snapping softwares like Rectangle, Magnet and etc. If you want to access scope without bug, try to close down your window snapping software.
