detecting external webcam in matlab

my imaqtool cannot detect my external webcam even when i have already install the driver and after refreshing the hardware.
PLEASE HELP!! thank you.

Are you using Windows? If you call up Device Manager, is it seen there? Because if Windows doesn't see it (in Device Manager), then MATLAB has no hope of seeing it.
