
two different friction torques in matlab example (custom clutch)

I have a question according to the matlab example 'custom clutch'. In the first picture you can see the subsystem of the custom clutch. Do you know why matlab makes a difference between the torque that is calculated from the lookup table (friction torque calculated) and the torque that is acting on both disks of the clutch (friction torque - torque balance) when the clutch is locked? The second picture shows the curves of both torques. I was assuming before that both torques should be the same as the torque that is transmitted by the clutch should be calculated from the dynamic friction coefficient. I really appreciate you help!

The "torque balance" and "calculated" friction values you have on the scope will only match when the clutch is slipping. During the period of time where they are not the same on the scope above, the clutch is locked.
