Hello,
I try actually to read an absolute encoder with a SpeedGoat Real Time target machine.
In that aim I'm using a Matlab function process the communication routine with the encoder.
I did changes to my function in order to not have any more error.
Now I have no error more, but I cannot build the simulation. I think it comes from a processor overload, but I cannot affirm that.
Could you provide me help with this issue?
Thank you in advance
Best Regards

Hi,
You can connect up to 3 quadrature encoders to an Education real-time target machine with an FPGA I/O module. After doing the physical wiring of the A, B, and Z signals to quadrature encoder, you just need to configure your encoder in Simulink with the Quadrature Decoder Simulink block. You can use the encoder Position or Speed outputs within your Simulink model.
The help for the Quadrature Decoder Simulink block can be found in the following locaiton:
I recommend to also get in touch with Speedgoat support team (support@speedgoat.com). They can support you in detail with your query.
Let me know if this helps.
Best regards,
Carlos
