digital camera connect to matlab

I have canon powershot A3300 IS. Does anyone know how to capture using matlab....

You cannot do that. That Canon series has no remote control. The only computer connectivity it offers is to show up like a USB disc to transfer images (though it does offer some software to make this easier.)

I don't know about that particular model, but I know it is possible to do on the higher end DSLR Canon cameras. Well, we've done it with Microsoft Visual Studio anyway, though not with MATLAB, but it should be possible if it shows up in imaqtool (which you need the Image Acquisition Toolbox to get).
