I want to transmit a GUI serially .I am using LED as transmitter and a photodiode as reciever

Your question makes no sense. GUI stands for Graphical User Interface, it's an abstract thing that encompasses displayed elements, states, and events. It's not something that can be transmitted.
Perhaps you want to transmit the state of the GUI? Or maybe the code to generate it?
