Since 2024a there's been an error with the VideoReader where it incorrectly reads Mono12 Motion JPEG2000 data. For people who happen to work with Mono12 format Motion JPEG2000 data, this is a pretty serious and breaking bug.
See bug report here:
Is there any timeline on this bug getting fixed? It's very unfortunate to "upgrade" to a later version of Matlab only for all your data to become unusable.
Thank you for your time.

Thomas, It looks like it's still in the current version, R2025a, according to the bug report, so that means you're probably be waiting until next September, at the earliest. However, I have had them send me a single file to patch a buggy function, but I wouldn't count on it. If you can get more license holders to call in and complain about that bug, they might move up the fix timeline (I've had them tell me that). The priority list is affected by how many people it affects and how many people call in to complain about it.
