svm classification for sequence data

I am having doubt in svm. How can I perform svm classification for sequence data (without converting sequence data into vector form)? Is there any function available? Kindly help me with this. Thanks in advance.

What form is your data in exactly? Is your signal not in a 1-D vector or 2-D matrix?

Exactly what is "sequence data" if it's not a vector? And what do you have against converting whatever it is into a vector? Why is that something you think you need to avoid doing?
