I created the histogram from the iris data set. But how it can be smoothed and normalized??

I have no idea what a "3 point triangular window" is when talking about a histogram. Where did you hear of this concept? Isn't it explained there? Why do you think you need to do that anyway? Did some paper or person tell you that you need to do it? If so, can't you consult the paper or ask the person?

This is in context with the fuzzy membership generation method using histogram. I read this concept in the paper "Interval Type-2 membership generation methods for pattern recognition".

I searched google but didn't got the solution. Asking the authors was the secondary thought. I thought first i should get basic knowledge about this method from MATLAB Central, then to ask from the authors.
