How to plot probability of occurrence of a negative sequence on log scale

I want to plot probability of occurrence of variable 'x'. On x axis i want to plot variable 'x' and on y axis i want to plot logarithmic probability (i.e in log scale). Please tell me how to accomplish this task

[n bins] = hist(Y , unique(Y));
pdf = n/numel(Y)

Didn't you cross check the result obtained by the two of them?? Anyways it should be length(PDF) instead of size(PDF)
