Join the MathWorks Nordics Finance team as a Senior Accounting Analyst!  Working with the Senior Manager of Nordics Finance and Operations you will compile and deliver monthly financial results, prepare the annual expense plan and forecasts, and provide support for the statutory audit. 

You’ll work across the EMEA Finance and Operations team and will be exposed to senior management, as you prepare monthly financial results, analyze key business issues, and identify opportunities to leverage technology and reduce waste. Verantwortlichkeiten

  • Working with other members of the Finance Team, prepare and deliver timely and accurate financial results, including the preparation of journal entries, supporting documentation and reconciliations
  • Identify opportunities to increase the use of technology and reduce waste related to the aggregation, analysis, and reporting of key data and workflows
  • Provide accounting support and documentation to assist with the annual audit, the implementation of new accounting standards and the completion of complex transactions
  • Participate in the annual financial planning process and develop financial forecasts.
  • Assume responsibility for all payroll and supplier processes for Sweden and Finland
  • Responsible for the accurate preparation and submission of monthly and quarterly VAT filings for Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark as well as OSS filings for the Baltic countries
  • Lead and participate in process improvement, waste elimination and system projects.
  • Support the office administration role such as facility management, office supplies and travel support.

Mindestqualifikationen

  • A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required.

Zusätzliche Qualifikationen

  • University level accounting degree with proven Swedish statutory accounting experience
  • Proven experience with monthly and yearly closing process, accounts payables, reconciliations, payroll, commissions, inter-company transactions, accrual accounting, tax and VAT preparation
  • Possess automated general ledger systems experience (experience with Oracle Cloud a plus)
  • Exposure to the payroll process.
  • Exposure to multi-national and multi-currency accounting and financial reporting
  • Expert skills with Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player, proven ability in working effectively with cross-functional and virtual teams
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel
  • Excellent English and Swedish language skills required. Finnish language skills a plus.
  • Previous audit history a plus
