Description
Ansys optiSLang is a process integration and design optimization solution that automates key aspects of the robust design optimization process. optiSLang connects multiple CAx tools and different physics into a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to optimization. Additionally, it enables simulations processes to be standardized and shared, giving new hires and simulation novices more direct access to simulation. With this powerful toolset, your entire team of engineers and designers can gain a better, more complete understanding of their design and make the right decisions sooner.
optiSLang offers a robust integration with MATLAB® and Simulink®. It provides a native binary interface that allows users to access the simulation process’s input parameters and responses without relying on files for most interprocess communication. Users can connect to an existing instance or create a new one based on a given MATLAB or Simulink project. Once connected, optiSLang presents an overview of the current instance’s parameters and responses, defining the scope of analysis parameterization. During the analysis, optiSLang varies the simulation input and evaluates the output until the convergence criteria are met, aiming to determine optimized, robust, or reliable designs, detect the importance of parameters, or build metamodels.
This integration facilitates a seamless workflow, enabling engineers to define design parameters, execute MATLAB analysis models, and automatically perform multiple design iterations to discover better designs faster. The MATLAB node in optiSLang serves as an application node that enable storing and configuring scripts written in MATLAB language and specifying the files and variables for inter-node communication. This comprehensive integration enhances the efficiency and effectiveness of design and simulation processes.
In addition, optiSLang also allows users to connect various tools into a multidisciplinary workflow. This feature enables the integration of different simulation models and processes, creating a comprehensive and efficient design and analysis environment. Furthermore, optiSLang provides automation capabilities, allowing for the automatic execution of multiple design iterations. This not only streamlines the workflow but also significantly reduces the time and effort required in the design process. Thus, optiSLang’s multidisciplinary and automated workflow capabilities, combined with its MATLAB integration, offer a powerful and efficient solution for design optimization and simulation tasks.
