IEEE 33 Bus System
Complete model of the IEEE 33 Bus System (Baran and Wu, 1989) for various power system studies
- This model is designed with simplicity and user-friendliness in mind and serves as a generic model to facilitate customization for more specific studies
* NOTES *
- Values of bus load and branch impedance are acquired from the MATPOWER (Version 7.0) case data.
- Every branch is equipped with a circuit breaker to enable reconfiguration of the system
- Kindly read the attached readme file for simple instructions
- For simple simulations, please use the simple model
- For more comprehensive control, please use the comprehensive model, which is complemented with the MATLAB m file.
* FEATURES OF THE COMPREHENSIVE MODEL *
- The model receives inputs of the circuit breaker status and outputs the voltage and current measurements at every branch
- Model simulation can be performed in two ways to promote flexibility of use
--> Method 1: Run in Simulink, by manually setting the circuit breaker status (recommended for simpler "single-run" studies)
--> Method 2: Run via the attached MATLAB script (provides more comprehensive control and data processing for the model, allows the simulation to be automated)
Kindly comment below if you have any suggestions for improving the model!
