A single phase VSI or ac-dc rectifier is operated in unity power factor mode. The controller is implemented in synchronous reference frame using unbalanced d-q control. The output voltage of the rectifier is maintained at set point and the sinusoidal current drawn by the converter is in phase with the source voltage.
