The Australian simplified 14 generators benchmark is loosely based on the southern and eastern Australian power
systems. The benchmark was developed by the University of Adelaide (Mike Gibbard & David Vowles) for research-oriented studies and educational purposes.
The authors of the SimPowerSystems implementation of this benchmark are Ali Moeini and Innocent Kamwa, from IREQ Hydro-Québec research institute. The model has 59 buses, 14 generators (modelling suitable models for turbine and governor system based on common parameters), and 29 loads. Several Power System Stabilizers (PSS) blocks and Multi-band Power System Stabilizer (MBPSS) blocks are also included in this model, along with a Static Var Compensator (SVC) block connected at B_205 bus.
