This is the demo of single objective truss sizing optimization problem for research and educational studies.
The problem is use in the manuscript entitled "Truss sizing optimization - gradient-based optimizers versus metaheuristics" by Kittinan Wansasueb, Tawatchai Kunakote, Natee Panagant, Nantiwat Pholdee, Sujin Bureerat, and Ali Riza Yildiz
There are 9 single objective truss sizing optimization problems included in this archive. The problems are list as follows:
1) 10-bar problem
2) 25-bar problem
3) 37-bar problem
4) 60-bar problem
5) 72-bar problem
6) 120-bar problem
7) 200-bar problem
8) 942-bar symettry problem
9) 942-bar asymettry problem
These are structural optimization problem which use finite elemen analysis as a solver.
