Do you know if it is possible to set a .gif as a cover image here on Mathworks online, for a file exchange contribution for instance ?
I think I already tried this in the past, but unsucessfully (maybe a matter of .gif size / and / or format)

@Nicolas Douillet, I don't think it's possible but I'll reach out to the developers to check.
Turns out while gif images are accepted the File Exchange does block them from animating. I assume they don't want their gallery views full of animations.
"Images look best with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a resolution of at least 200-by-165 pixels. Animated GIFs are not supported"
