Single image super resolution using deformable patches

good evening does anyone know how I can for each low resolution patch of the input image, how I can search and find the most suitable high resolution patch from the dictionary. This is done by calculating the deformation similarity defined in equation 12 and what are the different quantities I need to calculate? I know I can do the formulas on matlab but I do not know how.
