Is the Compiler 2021a app compatible with Matlab R2020a?

I currently have Matlab2020a.

if i purchase the Compiler App 2021a add-on will it be compatible with Matlab 2020a.

Using a toolbox from one release with MATLAB from a different release (earlier or later) is not supported. So if you're using MATLAB from release R2020a you would need to use MATLAB Compiler from release R2020a with it.

Mathworks does not permit purchasing a toolbox when you do not have basic MATLAB for that release.

However, if you have everything licensed for R2021a then that license entitles you to use older releases as well. This can be important for compatibility reasons.
