Test of 2017b Modell with Simulink Test and Coverage greater 2017b e.g. 2019b for ModelCoverage Cobatura report for Azure

for our Simulink project we are dependent on version 2017b, but I would like to use the unit test and model coverage functions, which only appeared in version 2018b and newer. In particular, the JUnit exports and the Cobatura exports for the Azure artifacts are of great interest. Now I have read that it is possible to test models with different Simulink releases: https://de.mathworks.com/help/sltest/ug/run-tests-in-multiple-releases-of-matlab.html. Does anyone have experience with it whether it works as easily as I imagine it to be? I want to touch the 2017b models as little as possible, but use as much of the new functions from 2019b or newer as possible.
