How to extract the value of the cost functional from the LQR function?

Hi there, i have a state space system and designed a state feedback with an lqr controller by using the lqr function. One of my intentions is to compare the effectiveness of the controler, thus i want to know the value of the cost functional J which has been minimized by the lqr function. Is there any intelligent way to extract this information from lqr?
