How can I show Haar feature scan on my face image in matlab

Hi,

I have Image processing toolbox of matlab. I am using five basic haar features to detect face. Just to justify that these five basic haar features are sufficient to detect face, I wanted to show the result of each haar feature scan on my face image.

I have seen the video http://makematics.com/research/viola-jones/ which shows the scan on leena's face. I guess its done in OpenCV. Can I do similar scan on my input image in matlab (Do I need computer vision toolbox). If I need to connect OpenCV with matlab, how should I start.
