Classify satellite images using artificial neural network (ANN)

hi i am very new to this, can you tell me how to use the texture features that i extract using glcm to classifiy the satellite images using artificial neural network (ann) ? the input and output how to decide it form the texture features? Also how to classify the image since we use the texture feature and not the image itself? i mean when to read the image ? is it during training and testing?

and regarding glcm i didnt know whether my extraction is right or not.. do we need extract the texture of preprocesssed image or segmented image since after preprocess i use geodesic active contour model to segment the satellite images.

i hope someone will answer this bc i really need to know :(
