Hi, I am using MATLAB with students license. Firstly, as I start MATLAB the CPU roams up to 100% and then stays between 50%-100% (more to the 100 zone).
It is important to mention I am not running any scripts or what so ever, I just started MATALB and that is it. After a while when the CPU runs at 50%-100% constantly and I run some really simple scripts(short vectors up to 15 rows and simple plots of them) and suddenly the screen goes blue and windows says it has problems and needs to restart. I am sure MATLAB is the one causes the issue because I faced it last week when I used it and then did not started it until yesterday and the issue happened again (I've used the laptop all week without any issues). I am assuming the blue screen and the restart windows claims is due to the high CPU usage over a long period of time (overheating, etc.), so the main problem to solve is why the CPU runs so high any time MATLAB is open.
My laptop - Dell XPS 9370 - Intel i7 8550U - 8GB RAM - 1T SSD.
Thank you,
Lior.
