How can I plot eye diagram in a designed GUI?

Hello everyone,

I'm designing a GUI interface in Matlab with GUIDE and I'd like to plot an eye diagram after a button in my GUI is pressed. Every time the eye diagram is plotted, a new figure/window opens in which it is plotted. How can I integrate this diagram in my GUI?

Have to tried using Axis in the gui diagram and plot figure in those axis?

Yes of course. My gui is very simple, it consists of one push button and one axis. I followed these suggestions how to make my GUI plot into an axes within the GUI figure rather than inside of a new figure http://www.mathworks.com/support/solutions/en/data/1-192W8/ but none of them works for me.
