unexpected noise in the simulation result

Hi,
I am working on a simulation right now.
1 When I change some parameters of the model (the structure of the model remains, and I am sure that the new parameters are physically correct as well), an oscillation suddenly occurs in the result, which is unexpected.
2 The oscillation is very small, it is not easy to be perceive without zooming in the scope. However, it makes the simulation time too much longer than that with no oscillation, which is exactly why I am mad at it!
3 And the shape of the oscillation looks like several 'm'connected together. When I change the parameters further, the magnitude and the frequency of the 'm' series do not change.
Have anyone faced the same problem? Do you have any suggestions what problem this might be?
Thank you very much!

Sounds like chaos ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaos_theory). Could it be a chaotic system?

Thank you very much for your attention!
I am not sure if it is a chaotic system. Probably not! But if it is, how can I fix this problem?
