Hello,
So, I've two image matrices (figure 1 and 2) and one can use imfuse to obtain the composite image (figure 3). I'm wondering if it is possible to have figure 1 and figure 2 plotted with different colormaps and have these different colormaps retained while utilizing imfuse.
For your reference, the two image matrices are also attched.

How are you calling imfuse() ?

y_rgb = ind2rgb(im2uint8(new_img_y),copper(256));
new_img = imfuse(x_rgb, y_rgb, 'blend','Scaling', 'joint');
image(new_img)
