[First version]
Use images taken under such conditions:
  • Object is lit from the front by non npolarized light and the image acquired when lightreflected from the object captured by the camera and polarizer, image ’L2S11.jpg’.
  • Object is lit from the front by polarized light and the image acquired when lightreflected from the object passes the analyzer placed in front of the camera, image’L2S12.jpg’.
Related questions:
  • Find out what parts of the image of the circuit board were emphasized and why?
  • Calculate the changes of S/N in the parts of the images for both cases?
Explanation should include:
  • Describing of the optical scheme used?
  • What information from polarized illumination with analyzer can be extracted?
[Second version]
two images one with polarizer and other one without polarizer. what parts of the image is emphasized and why?
calculate the changes in S/N for parts of image for both cases?
Description of optical scheme used?
what information from polarized illumination with analyser can be extracted?
