How to find the time-frequency plot of a signal using the wavelet transform?

Please, I have an acoustic signal and I woul like to do time-frequency analysis using Wavelet tranform.
I am aware STFT can compute that but I prefer the wavelet transform technique that uses multiple kernel or window functions to improve both the time and frequency resolution. Could some one please help me with the code. Thank you.
