How to add/write multiple spreadsheets to a excel file from MATLAB?

Hello Everyone,

Let's consider I have three spreadsheets named A1, A2, A3 and I wish to write these 3 spreadsheets to a single excel file in MATLAB. Could anyone please let me know How I can do it?

writetable in a loop with the 'Sheet' named parameter. You'll probably find the string variable type handy with its facility to use the "+" operator and automagic conversion of numbers to text to build the variable sheet name string.

The commands given by you help me to read different sheets from excel file. But I want to write different sheets to a single excel file. Your commands helped me.

I wrote these commands.

[~,sheet_name]=xlsfinfo('Test.xlsx')
for k=1:numel(sheet_name)
  [~,~,data{k}]=xlsread('Test.xlsx',sheet_name{k})
  xlswrite('Result1.xlsx',data{k},sheet_name{k});
end

I tried this. It is almost working.

These command helps us to extract sheets from one excel file and write them to other excel file. Some tuning of commands is required to do the work with only specific required sheets.

you have to write each data{k} to a separate sheet in the excel file , so pass the sheet number to the write function

you can do everything in one for loop , either with xlswrite or more up to date , writematrix or writetable

[~,sheet_name]=xlsfinfo('Test.xlsx')
for k=1:numel(sheet_name)
  [~,~,data{k}]=xlsread('Test.xlsx',sheet_name{k});
  xlswrite('Result.xlsx',data{k},k); % option 1 (out dated)
  writematrix(data{k},'Result.xlsx','Sheet',k); % option 1
end
