Export values of huge container.Map object

Hi,

I have a container.Map with 6768252 keys which values are of great interest for an statistical assignment.

When I want to make a plot with the values of that container.Map, I try to create an array but I get 'Out of memory' error.

>> bytes = values(bytesMap) ??? Error using ==> values Out of memory. Type HELP MEMORY for your options.

The same happens when trying to export the values to a .txt file with dlmwrite, so I could deal with the values with another software:

>>dlmwrite(filename,values(bytesMap), 'delimiter',' ', 'precision',20); ??? Error using ==> values Out of memory. Type HELP MEMORY for your options.

Anny suggestions how to solve this issue?

Invest in a 64 bit system...

Yes... I guess that would solve the problem but not feasible right now.

A solution to this would be to split the container.Map object into smaller ones in size and export each one to .txt files for instance.

Does anyone know if that is possible?
