Hi,
The pause function is a small part of my big program, the problem is that when compiled using the option given in appdesigner as a standalone, the pause function dosen't seem to be working in the app produced . Kindly let me know any suitable alternative to pause(). I am using a matlab 2020b release
Thanks

If you are using pause function in the callback of your app in order to debug your function and if you wish to pause on errors, you might not get expected ouput. This is a known bug that our developers are aware of and would fix in future releases of MATLAB.
In the meantime, you can use "dbstop" and "dbclear" commands to workaround this.
Instead of using "Pause on errors", execute:
>>dbstop if caught
When you want to clear this behaviour, you can execute:
>>dbclear if caught

User is talking about compiled app. dbstop does not apply to compiled apps.
pause is used to delay, and is used to trigger graphics updates. I am not sure which of the two the user is having trouble with.
