Matlab R2020a prevents automatic suspend when idle on Ubuntu 20.10

As the title suggest my Matlab R2020a prevents my Ubuntu from idle suspension, even when Matlab is not running any calculation. Is there a way to fix this?
Edit: Over a year later this is still the case for Ubuntu 21.10 and Matlab R2021a.
