How do you plot a 2D curve over a surface plot that is viewed at (0,90)?

I have a surface plot that when viewed at (0,90) gives me a color coded plot. I also have a 2D curve that I need to be able to plot on top of the surface plot. I've plotted them both together using the hold on command, but the 2D curve gets partially covered by the surface plot. What can I do to bring the 2D curve to the front on this plot?
