Modbus RTU Slave Address

I am looking at the examples of modbus communication in rtu mode. The example works well, I am able to read the holding registers in my device. The problem is that I couldn't find a place to set slave address. Does that mean Matlab can only establish a one-to-one communication using modbus rtu mode?
