Stuck in the "Select File for Save As" window

I just finished a huge program and I simply clicked "save as".

The "Select File for Save As" window popped up and it's unresponsive. I can't save anything and I can't even exit out of it. I also can't view the MATLAB editor in which I was writing the code because the "Select File for Save As" window pops up every time I try.

Can someone give me some advice on what to do so I don't have to rewrite this huge program?

I'm running Windows 8.
