Using Simulink from code

Hello,
I am looking to create a simulator from an existing embedded device. This device has a processor board, i/o board, LCD display, keypad, and a few other aux devices.
For testing purposes I would like to create a simulator that doesn't require hardware (except the PC). Is it possible to go from code/device 'backwards' to simulink in order to simulate the hardware/firmware?

First of all, purpose of simulink is to model the behavior of a dynamic system (mathematical and logical modelling). Making a instruction set simulator (processor simulator) will need lots of efforts, complex implementation and dedicated team. I don't think this a one man job.
There are lots of processor simulator already available in the market. You can select one of those as per your need.

If you have input/output response data from the system(s), you might be able to use the System Identification Toolbox to model your system.
