Hello! I am trying to solve the following two equations in matlab with known time values , , and and known stress values sigma1, sigma2, and sigma3. The two unknowns are alpha and k. Does anyone have some starting tips to solve them for singular values of each time?
equation1=(1+k.*(t1^(1-alpha)))/(1+k*(t2^(1-alpha)))==(sigma1/sigma2);
equation2=(1+k.*(t1^(1-alpha)))/(1+k*(t3^(1-alpha)))==(sigma1/sigma3);

syms k alpha
t1=%enter t1; t2=%enter t2; t3=%enter t3;
sigma1=%enter sigma1; sigma2=%enter sigma2; sigma3=%enter sigma3;
equation1=(1+k.*(t1^(1-alpha)))/(1+k*(t2^(1-alpha)))==(sigma1/sigma2); equation2=(1+k.*(t1^(1-alpha)))/(1+k*(t3^(1-alpha)))==(sigma1/sigma3);
eqns = [equation1, equation2];
S = solve(eqns,[k alpha])
