Hello,
the documentation says: To call Python libraries from MATLAB, you need to install a supported version of the reference implementation (CPython) for Python. MATLAB 2016b supports Python 3.3, 3.4, 3.5 (as defined here https://www.mathworks.com/content/dam/mathworks/mathworks-dot-com/support/sysreq/files/python-support.pdf).
However, is it possible to call Python functions written in Python 3.7 from MATLAB 2016b? From the first tests, it seems to work...

In R2016b, MATLAB doesn't support Python version 3.7 . This is available in R2019a. So, function from Python 3.7 may or may not be work (Function which presents in the previous release will work but the new one might not work).
