How can i multiply two same dimension vectors and why this code is providing error?

while Parent1 , Parent2 and rand are (3*1) dimension.

Off1 = Parent1 + (rand(Dim,1).*(Parent2-Parent1));

Dim = 3
Off1 = Parent1 + (rand(Dim,1).*(Parent2-Parent1));
