Does any body know any resource for codes applied in power system heuristic planning?

Hi mates!

Does any body know any resource for codes applied in power system heuristic planning? I have come across so many papers and many algorithms have been implemented on power systems like PSO ,Differential Evolutions,Tabu Search,e-constraints,etc but there is no resource explaining how I can map the codes to a power system.For example it is easy to run a DLTZ,ZDT or DNK optimization problems but when it comes to power system where you need to retrieve voltage,loss,angels through power flow calculations, it gets difficult. Does anybody have a clue about it?
