Bucket a time signal to find its probability distribution

Hello,

I want to know a way to find if a signal is fitting a gaussian distribution.

So essentially it would take the signal , plot its distribution and check how close it is to being

a Gaussian distributed (by making a fit to the Gaussian curve and in the process estimating the mean

and std dev).
