how to fill in the image by connecting every point in the image in a bw image

I have images like following

I'd like to connect every point with every point on this image so that I am able to fill in the gap on top left conor. How do I manage to do this. Or is there any better way?

This method works fine with relatively small gap like I gave in the question but not very well on the image with a larger gap like the follwoing one. is there anyway to sovle this? Many thanks.
