How to reset the default layout for text editor? How to display the editor above the command window?

When I checked how the other layouts look like I have made some changes. I have dragged the editor window away from its place and now whenever I want to open a file either new or existing, the editor window pop out as a new window. I have tryed to change it back to default but after rearranging the panels, the pop out thing still persists. Please find this question relevant :).
