Saving data from a GUI

I was assigned a project in which I need to make use of a GUI. I have not worked with a GUI before, but I managed to structure the body from online tips.

My GUI serves the purpose of taking in input values that I later have to use again.

I am however struggling to save these data values from the GUI.

Can anyone advise on the matter.

Again, you forgot to attach the files. In general you can get the values in a couple of different ways depending on the type of control

value = handles.chkYourCheckBox.Value; % Checkboxes or scrollbars or listboxes or radio buttons.
contents = handles.edtYourEditTextBox.String; % Edit text boxes or listboxes.
